Apple is planning several big changes on the upcoming iPhone generation projected to launch in the fall of 2022.
And in addition to some models killing off the notch, it looks like the company is also planning some substantial under-the-hood upgrades, at least for the Pro models.
First and foremost, some context.
Just like in 2021, Apple will stick with a four-model iPhone lineup for 2022, though this time, the company will give up on the iPhone mini form factor. The 5.4-inch model will be replaced by a new 6.7-inch version of the iPhone that will wear the Max branding (without the Pro tag though).
The iPhone 14 lineup should therefore be the following:
- iPhone 14 – 6.1-inch display
- iPhone 14 Max – 6.7-inch display
- iPhone 14 Pro – 6.1-inch display
- iPhone 14 Pro Max – 6.7-inch display
