Apple launched the iPhone 12 a few months ago, but the company is already working on a massive upgrade for the next-generation model: the return of Touch ID.
While the Cupertino-based tech giant hasn’t confirmed the work in this regard, and there’s a chance the company wouldn’t say a single thing about this until the unveiling takes place, people familiar with the matter have revealed several times that the return of Touch ID to the iPhone is just a matter of time.
And now a report from WSJ indicates the same thing, confirming Apple wants to bring Touch ID and Face ID under the same roof.
In other words, the iPhone 13 could come with both facial and fingerprint recognition, with Apple said to be exploring embedding Touch ID right into the screen of the device.
