Apple released today two emergency updates for its iOS and macOS operating systems to address the recently discovered FaceTime security flaw and other critical issues.
Last week, someone discovered a major security flaw in the FaceTime app on Apple’s iOS and macOS operating systems that would allow anyone to spy on his/her contacts by hearing on the audio when initiating a group chat where you include yourself in it.
“The initiator of a Group FaceTime call may be able to cause the recipient to answer,” reads the security advisory. “A logic issue existed in the handling of Group FaceTime calls. The issue was addressed with improved state management.”
