The next-generation iPhone could come with a welcome upgrade in terms of memory, according to a notable Apple analyst.
Rumors that reached the web earlier this year suggested at least one of the three iPhones that launched this year was supposed to come with 6GB RAM, but the trio eventually landed with just 4GB.
According to a note sent to investors by Barclays analysts, Apple will upgrade the next-generation iPhone to 6GB RAM, with these models to also feature rear-facing 3D sensing and mmWave support for 5G, as per MacRumors.
However, not all three iPhones launching in September next year will receive this RAM upgrade. Only iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will launch with 6GB RAM, as the base model, which will presumably be called iPhone 12, will feature just 4GB RAM, just like its predecessor.
