Apple Admits Some iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Are Affected by Crackling Sounds

Following reports that some iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus users are hearing static or crackling sounds during conversations, Apple admitted that there is a problem and that they are going to fix it in an upcoming update.

Each new generation of devices has its own problems. Some bend in the pocket or some catch fire, and you never know what you’re going to get. If you’re lucky, whatever problem you have can be corrected with a simple software update, if not, then you have to return the device.

From the initial reports, the crackling sounds seemed to affect quite a few people. Apple says that only a few users have experienced this issue, but since dozens have already posted online about the issue, it’s easy to imagine that only a handful of the affected will actually report this matter in a public forum.
