Apple, however, plans to tackle this difference with the upcoming iPhone generation due in the fall, as the company is reportedly aiming to offer new USB-C power adapters with USB-C to Lightning cables for even faster fast charging.
According to a post on Weibo, Cupertino could include an 18W power adapter that would enable fast charging on the new iPhones with a USB-C to Lightning cable, also expected to ship in the box. This configuration could allow fast charging from 0 to 50% in approximately 30 minutes, MR estimates.
