Apple announced its highly-controversial AirPods in early September when it also introduced the new iPhone 7, promising to roll them out in October, but it turns out that this won’t be the case anymore.
Cupertino has decided to hold back the release of its wireless earphones because they aren’t ready just yet, as the company itself explained in a statement, saying that the launch would thus take place at a later time. No other timing details were provided though, so the only option right now is to wait.
“The early response to AirPods has been incredible. We don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers,” the company said.
