Apple Finally Gives Up, Will Let Third-Party Shops Do More iPhone Repairs

It’s a well-known fact that repairing an iPhone in a third-party shop is quite a challenge, especially because Apple does not provide service centers with its super-advanced tools, but it looks like this is going to change very soon if a pilot program started by the company proves successful.

Apple has recently kicked off a new effort to provide a number of authorities service providers with iPhone calibration systems that are compatible with iPhone 6s and newer.

This basically means that once you bring in an iPhone for repairs to 3D Touch and to the display, you will no longer be required to pay a visit to an Apple Store for calibration (or to wait until the third-party service providers sends and receives the device from Apple) because everything can be performed without Apple’s engineers.
