Brianna Olivas recently shared a video of her iPhone 7 Plus on Twitter. The smartphone suddenly began smoking and sizzling, before her boyfriend threw it in the restroom. The troubles started one day before when the phone wouldn’t turn on.
Olivas had bought the phone from Sprint in January and one day before the incident, she took it to an Apple Store where employees ran a diagnostics test. The test didn’t find any problems with the phone and gave it back to her.
The next morning, Brianna was sleeping with her phone charging next to her head, when her boyfriend took it and placed it on the dresser, not before he unplugged the charger. He then went to the restroom and with the corner of his eye he saw that the phone started emitting smoke.
