Apple iPhone 8 to Bring Homage to the First iPhone With Similar Design Traits

Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone this year, one that will mark the 10-year anniversary since the first iPhone was launched. Rumors say that Apple will make major changes to the iPhone 8 design, but a new report suggests that it will also bring a homage to the first iPhone.

Industry analysts have spoken to Korean site ETNews that the new iPhone will use a “water drop design” that’s similar to the original iPhone. This means that the phone will have a rear curve which is smoother and rounder than current metal case edges.

Apple will reportedly use a three-dimensional glass material on the back panel of iPhone 8 to resemble the deeper curves on the original iPhone.
