Apple has officially killed off Dark Sky, the weather app that so many people considered the absolute best choice on Apple devices.
After taking over the parent company, Apple decided to integrate the best Dark Sky features right into the Weather app that’s already available on iPhone, iPad, and macOS.
In other words, if you miss Dark Sky, Apple says that you should just stick with the native Weather app, and everything should be alright.
“Dark Sky’s features have been integrated into Apple Weather. Apple Weather offers hyperlocal forecasts for your current location, including next-hour precipitation, hourly forecasts for the next 10 days, high-resolution radar, and notifications. Apple Weather is available on devices running iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS 13 Ventura,” the company explains.
