Available right now on devices updated to watchOS 5.1.2, the electrocardiogram functionality is limited to the United States, as Apple needs regulatory approval before rolling it in other markets.
The FDA reportedly offered the go-ahead of the ECG feature on the Apple Watch Series 4 only a few hours before the September 12 press event. Apple is now working with other relevant watchdogs in large markets to expand the feature to more countries.
