Apple Launches Oceanic+ App for the Apple Watch Ultra

One of the highlights of the new Apple Watch Ultra is the support for diving, and while the device already comes with a Depth app to provide basic specifications, there’s no doubt that many people out there expected more advanced capabilities.

This is why Apple is now launching the so-called Oceanic+ app on the Apple Watch Ultra, essentially bringing the device closer to a dice computer.

Thanks to the new application, users are provided with a plethora of details, including information that comes in handy before diving.

“In the dive planner, users can set their surface time, their depth, and their gas, and Oceanic+ will calculate their No Deco (no-decompression) time — a metric used to determine a time limit for a diver at a certain depth. The planner also integrates dive conditions, including tides, water temperature, and even up-to-date information from the community, such as visibility and current,” the Cupertino-based tech giant explains.
