The agency estimates that Apple will produce at least 10 million units of the new iPhones this year, while the iPhone 8 with AMOLED display will make up the greatest share. Apple is said to produce a total of 230 million iPhones this year, by 6% more compared to 2016.
The iPhone 8 will be the first to have an AMOLED display, aside from other high-end features. The smartphone is expected to come with a 5.8-inch display and 2k resolution, alongside 2.5D glass on top. The report says that Apple won’t implement the curved display design on the high-end iPhone, because of issues with the 3D glass when it comes to production yield and drop test results.
