As part of the legal fight between Apple and Qualcomm, the latter won two major disputes in China and Germany, with the Cupertino-based company ordered to stop sales of specific iPhone generations.
In China, however, Apple resolved the alleged patent violation with updates shipped as part of an iOS update, but this was only possible because the infringement took place at a software level.
In Germany, on the other hand, iPhones are infringing on hardware patents owned by Qualcomm, the court ruled, so it will certainly be a challenge for Apple to update its models in order to avoid the ban.
