Apple Wants to Create an iPhone Without Any Ports

Apple’s 2020 iPhone generation is already expected to represent a massive upgrade going forward, and it looks like in the long term, the Cupertino-based tech giant is currently planning several other major changes.

One of them is the removal of the Lightning port, according to leaker Ben Geskin, as Apple wants an iPhone with no ports.

The demise of the Lightning connector would create a series of challenges, not only for Apple, but also for customers, as a Lightning connector is required for basic things like charging and connecting the iPhone to a wired Apple CarPlay unit.

However, it looks like Apple is planning everything in advance, so an iPhone without Lightning would only charge and connect wirelessly to car units.
