This is because the new smartwatch comes without the substantially refined design everybody wanted, as all the rumors out there suggest this could be the first major overhaul since the debut of the Apple Watch many years ago.
And it’s all because the Cupertino-based tech giant has decided to wait a little bit longer before it gives up on the curved edges and instead go for flat sides inspired by the iPhone 12 (and now the iPhone 13, as the new model has been announced today alongside the Apple Watch Series 7).
Again, this was supposed to be the biggest redesign since launch, and to be honest, the Apple Watch Series 7 looked really good with those flat sides in the renderings that have been making the rounds lately.
