There are several notable improvements in watchOS 7.1, and the first of them is the debut of the ECG feature in more markets.
The ECG functionality has been around for a while, but Apple has gradually released it to more users as it received the go-ahead from authorities across the world to offer it on local devices. So with the release of today’s software update, the Apple Watch is getting ECG support in the Republic of Korea and Russia. Just like before, only the Apple Watch Series 4 and later models come with ECG, so if you own a Series 3, you won’t be getting this improvement.
