Apple is now giving the finishing touches to the iMac Pro, and while the company hasn’t released full details just yet, new information keeps landing thanks to people who’re constantly digging deep into firmware files.
It happened several times in the case of the iPhone, and now it happens again ahead of the iMac Pro debut, with the folks over at Pike’s Universum discovering some pretty interesting tidbits about the new device.
As it turns out, Apple might be adding a feature described as “advanced threat protection,” which is more of a new version of the popular Find My iPhone, but developed for the iMac Pro.
Phone call support on the iMac Pro?
At this point, most of the details seem to be pretty sketchy, but the cited site says users might not be allowed to turn this off, meaning that it can phone home to the user and report the GPS location no matter what.
