The fragmentation of the Android ecosystem is one of the drawbacks of Google’s mobile platform, and this is caused by the huge number of OEMs, each with plenty of devices running the OS.
Of course, this isn’t the case in the Apple world, where updates are released to all supported iPhones at the same time, which in the end leads to better adoption of the latest operating system versions.
And the most recent data shared by the Cupertino-based tech giant reveals that this is exactly what’s happening right now, as more than 9 in 10 iPhones released in the four years are already running iOS 13.
Apple rolled out iOS 13 in September 2019, and the company is now working on the next version of the operating system, with a preview of iOS 14 projected to be offered this month at the WWDC.
