iOS 11.2 Untethered Jailbreak Achieved on iPhone X by Alibaba Researchers

The researchers of Alibaba Pandora Labs have reportedly managed to successfully jailbreak Apple’s iOS 11.2.1 and 11.2 operating systems on the iPhone X.

Song Yang, head of Alibaba Secure Pandora Laboratories, said that his team has jailbroken Apple’s latest iOS 11.2 operating system on the iPhone X, and successfully installs Cydia, an alternative to Apple’s App Store for “jailbroken” devices that lets users install third-party apps and custom themes.

According to the Alibaba researcher, the Pandora Lab jailbreak is “perfect” and cannot be compared with previous jailbreaks released in the last couple of years. However, they do not yet intend to release an iOS 11.2 or iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak tool to the wider public at the moment.
