Apple started selling the iPhone 14 Plus approximately one week ago, but the early sales figures aren’t necessarily encouraging.
A report from Digitimes reveals that iPhone 14 Plus is selling slower than anticipated, as most people are still getting the Pro models because of the hardware upgrades that are exclusive to these devices.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, for instance, come with the pill-shaped Dynamic Island, which replaces the controversial notch. Meanwhile, the notch continues to be available on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously said that iPhone 14 also recorded slow sales because of the growing demand for the Pro models. As a result, Apple even asked suppliers to switch production lines to the Pro version, therefore cutting orders for the standard iPhone 14.
