Apple introduced the iPhone 7 in September, and it turns out that the device had an immediate impact on company sales, as it managed not only to boost the market share of iOS and bring it closer to Android, but also to help Cupertino benefit from the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
Figures provided by Kantar reveal that both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus managed to win the United States, as they became the best-selling smartphones in September, accounting for 17.1 percent of total sales in the country during the month. Furthermore, the iPhone 6s was the runner-up in this chart, with all iPhone models contributing to a growth of iOS to 34.2 percent in the third quarter of 2016.
The same thing happened in the United Kingdom, where Apple managed to make the iPhone 7 the top selling device in the region with 15.1 percent of all sales.
