The iPhone 7 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S8+ are currently the world’s most advanced smartphones, featuring cameras whose performance can hardly be matched by devices launched by other manufacturers.
But as far as the two phones are concerned, each of them embraced a different approach. While Apple decided to go for a dual-camera configuration, Samsung picked a single-lens camera, and by the looks of things, the end result is not a difference as big as one would expect it to be.
This is why we’ve decided to put the Apple iPhone 7 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S8+ against each other in an in-depth camera review based on several tests conducted with the same automatic settings, HDR on when needed, and slight brightness adjustments if the conditions absolutely required them.
