Recent rumors pointed to the fact that Apple’s upcoming anniversary iPhone could be named iPhone 8 or iPhone X, but a new report says that the phone is actually named iPhone Edition and could launch at the end of this year.
The Edition moniker would reportedly signal the fact that the smartphone is a higher end model, similar to Apple’s naming strategy for the Apple Watch Edition. The anniversary iPhone is expected to feature premium materials that would drive its price upwards of $1,000.
