It’s quite surprising to hear this, but it looks like Apple has sold over 1 billion iPhone devices since the introduction of the smartphone that changed our lives as we knew them.
Last month, iPhone turned 9 years old, and we’re pretty sure that we used almost all the iPhone versions that the Cupertino company released since June 29, 2007. The fact of the matter is that we can’t even believe it took so long for Apple to sell its billionth unit, but it happened, sometime last week, according to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook.
“Last week we passed another major milestone when we sold the billionth iPhone,” said Tim Cook, Apple CEO. “We never set out to make the most, but we’ve always set out to make the best products that make a difference. Thank you to everyone at Apple for helping change the world every day.”
