French website iGeneration writes that Apple plans to use an event next month to take the wraps off a new 4-inch device, though the company is expected to actually unveil the new iPhone 7s, 7s Plus, and iPhone 8 in September.
But according to this report, the debut of the new-generation models would only take place in October due to production delays, and this is why Apple plans to buy more time with a new iPhone SE.
While at some level it makes sense, especially given the plethora of reports pointing to delays impacting the iPhone 8, the said August event does not align with Apple’s typical release schedule, as Cupertino has always used September to take the wraps off new model… (read more)
