The Samsung Galaxy S9+ and the standard Samsung Galaxy S9 managed to overtake the iPhone X to reach a market share of 2.6 percent each, while Apple’s model fell on third place with 2.3 percent. iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 were next with 2.3 percent and 2.2 percent, respectively.
Counterpoint says that Galaxy S9 posted strong performance in APAC (Asia-Pacific) and NAM (North America) regions, though these are the markets where the much older iPhone 7 also sold well.
