A new alleged leak that’s making the rounds right now claims that Samsung wants to bring the Galaxy S9 to the market sooner than originally planned, and at least “some” of the features will be inspired from Apple’s iPhone X.
While no details have been provided, @Ricciolo1 says that Samsung calls these features borrowed from the iPhone X “tricks,” though they most likely enable new functionality on the device.
One feature that’s expected to be copied from the iPhone X is an advanced facial recognition system, though the term copy has created quite a controversy among fans of the two companies.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 already comes with a facial recognition system that allows easy unlocking of the device, but the iPhone X is the one that employs 3D sensing cameras for advanced functionality and potentially more secure authentication.
