A new report confirms that Starbucks will soon start upgrading its wireless charging ecosystem across the entire coffeehouse chain to support Apple’s new iPhone 8 and iPhone X smartphones.
Powermat has confirmed for Slashgear that they will upgrade their public charging pads lineup to support the Qi wireless charging standard that Apple implemented in the all-glass body of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X devices that the Cupertino-based company unveiled earlier this week.
The world’s popular coffee shop chain already offered wireless charging pads to Android users, but now that Apple has finally embarked the wireless charging bandwagon, it’s time for Starbucks also to welcome Apple fans that are buying an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus device starting September 22, or an iPhone X early November.
