Apple’s 2022 iPhone lineup will include, just like before, four different models, though this time, the company is making some changes that could take many by surprise.
The iPhone mini is going away, with Apple to introduce a new standard model that will be called Max. As you could easily anticipate, this model would use a 6.7-inch display, so the smaller iPhones in the upcoming lineups will sport 6.1-inch screens.
Highly reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will try to make the difference between the standard models and the Pro siblings even bigger, most likely in an attempt not only to make the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max more affordable but also to convince more people to get a Pro.
As a result, the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max won’t be upgraded to a new processor this year. In other words, they’ll stick with the A15 processor that’s currently used on the iPhone 13 generation.
