Apple Unveils Powerful New MacBook Pro with M4 Family of Chips
Cupertino, CA – Apple today introduced the new MacBook Pro, featuring the power of the M4 family of chips. With its advanced 12MP Center Stage camera, an all-new nano-texture display option, and up to 24 hours of battery life, the new MacBook Pro is designed to deliver extraordinary performance and capability.
The new MacBook Pro is built to be incredibly durable, using 100% recycled aluminum in the enclosure and 100% recycled rare earth elements in all magnets, solder, and copper in multiple printed circuit boards. The packaging for the 14-inch MacBook Pro is now entirely fiber-based, joining the 16-inch MacBook Pro and bringing Apple closer to its goal of removing plastic from its packaging by 2025.
According to John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, "MacBook Pro is an incredibly powerful tool that millions of people use to do their life’s best work, and today we’re making it even better." He added, "With the powerful M4 family of chips, and packed with pro features like Thunderbolt 5, an advanced 12MP Center Stage camera, an all-new nano-texture display option, and Apple Intelligence, the new MacBook Pro continues to be, by far, the world’s best pro laptop."
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 starts at $1,599, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro starts at $1,999, and the 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,499. Apple is also offering a new MacBook Air with M2 and M3, starting at $999.
With macOS Sequoia, which completes the new MacBook Pro experience, users can enjoy a range of exciting features, including iPhone Mirroring, Apple’s fast browser Safari, improved Address Control, and much more.
The new MacBook Pro is now available for pre-order and will be available in stores starting November 8. Upgraders will get significant improvements over Intel-based MacBook Pro models, including nearly 10x faster performance for AI-based workloads and up to 20x faster performance for graphics-intensive workloads.
