As an iPad Pro user, I’ve always been impressed by the accessory experience. When Apple introduced its Magic Keyboard, I was blown away by its design and functionality, which transformed the iPad into a full-on computer experience. However, at $350, it’s more expensive than a new iPad 11th-gen. So, I’m always on the lookout for cheaper alternatives, and I finally found two that have exceeded my expectations.
The ESR Rebound Case is a Magic Keyboard alternative that provides a near-identical trackpad experience at a fraction of the cost. With a floating cantilever design, adjustable angles, and magnetic attachment, it’s designed to replicate the Magic Keyboard experience. The case also features function keys, backlit keys, and a multi-touch trackpad with full iPadOS gesture support. I was blown away by its responsive keys, accurate trackpad, and adjustable viewing angles, which made it feel like a true laptop replacement. And at $79, it’s an insane value, considering it’s over $200 cheaper than the Magic Keyboard.
The other standout product is the Geo Pencil, an affordable Apple Pencil alternative that offers many of the same features and functionality at a significantly lower price. With find my support, tilt sensitivity, palm rejection, and USB-C charging, it’s designed to provide a seamless experience. I used it for note-taking, rough sketching, and signing documents, and it worked flawlessly. While the Apple Pencil Pro has niche features like squeeze functions and hover, the Geo Pencil will get you 95% of the experience for a fifth of the cost.
Both the ESR Rebound Case and the Geo Pencil are available today on Amazon and the ESR store, with keyboard versions available for all iPad models and sizes. The ESR Rebound Case is priced at $79, while the Geo Pencil is only $25. Unless you need specific features like hover support or squeeze functions from the Pencil Pro, I say save your hard-earned money and opt for these affordable alternatives.
