While there isn’t and probably won’t be an untethered, public jailbreak released for Apple’s latest iOS 11.4 mobile operating system, it would appear that Liang Chen of the Tencent Keen Lab managed to exploit some vulnerabilities found in the first beta of Apple’s upcoming iOS 12 operating system to demo the first iOS 12 jailbreak.
The jailbreak, which you can see in action by watching the video attached at the end of the article, was achieved on an iPhone X smartphone. It appears to use a kernel exploit found in the iOS 12 beta 1 release, and it even supports Cydia third-party package managed created by Jay Freeman.
