Apple today released a Supplemental Update for the macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 operating system to fix CPU thermal throttling issues in the new MacBook Pro 2018 models with Touch Bar and Intel Core i9 processors reported by some users.
On July 12, 2018, Apple announced the updated MacBook Pro 2018 line-up with up to 32GB of RAM, 8th Generation Intel Core processors, True Tone display, and Apple’s T2 chip to support “Hey Siri.” The first to purchase the new MacBook Pro 2018 laptops were also those who were the first to write reviews of the new machines, and discovered that they overheated during some heavy workloads, as reported in this video by Dave Lee.
