Apple is projected to take the wraps off the new iPhone generation in September, and rumors regarding its feature lineup keep making the headlines occasionally.
Top-rated Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is trying to set things straight in several regards over the iPhone 11, explaining in a note to investors that the Lightning port wouldn’t be dropped on the 2019 generation.
Apple, he says, won’t make the switch to USB-C, as some rumors have suggested, so if any change on this front is planned, expect it on the 2020 iPhone.
At the same time, Apple will stick with the same three dimensions as on the current iPhone lineup, which means we’ll get new iPhones with 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.5-inch displays. This is also another confirmation that an LCD version will continue to be offered.
